This was a passion project I was tasked to create a diorama scene, as always I try to push myself to go further than a simple scene and wanting to work on characters I decided to work on creating a fisherman in a world of giant fish. I quickly decided early on in the ideation phase that I wanted the style to be akin clay stop motion animation, fingerprints on everything giving it this handmade and rough look. I ended up making a Zbrush VDM brush that emulated fingerprints to apply to my high poly sculpts. A bit of rigging was involved to, in order to pose the character. I also ended up with two versions of the sea, one hand painted and the other using materials in unreal to create foam and ripples.
